Presented in 2000 at the My Name's Lolita Art Gallery (Madrid), with this exhibition Charris paid homage to his hometown. The text published in the catalog is a story in which a captain, Manuel, conceives the quirky project of building a flag of the Republic of Cartagena in the Hannover Universal Exhibition. The paintings are not an illustration of that history but they do focus more than usual on the affectionate portrait of an urban and marine environment, without missing the usual punctual and more or less discreet references to the history of art, the media communication, to children's toys or to the comic.
